Am i Suitable for Conductive Keratoplasty?

Is CK right for me?
CK is intended for people over 45 who want to improve their near vision and reduce their dependence on reading glasses. CK is not intended for people with myopia (short-sightedness).

You're likely to be a good candidate for CK if you:

  • Are over 45
  • Have had good vision throughout your life
  • Require reading glasses to compensate for fading near vision

Below is a guide to suitability for CK. This is not a definitive list as many contra indications depend upon the individual's situation and other circumstances.

Prescription range
Prescription for distance up to +2.50D
Reading Add between 1.00D and 3.00D

CK may not be suitable if you:

  • Have had a reasonable change in your distance prescription within the last two years
  • Are an insulin dependent diabetic
  • Are pregnant or nursing
  • Have a pacemaker
  • Are short sighted (Myopic)
  • Have poor general health
  • Have a history of eye infections including severe dryness, corneal dystrophy, glaucoma
  • Have Kerataconus
